Fear of God Drives Out Fear – Psalm 56:3 Scripture Memory Song

Trust in God in times of uncertainty.

If you’re new here, each week we all learn about and memorize a Bible verse together. We’ve put the verse(s) into song to help you learn the verse and recall it during your day. If you’d like to see the archives of all the verses we’ve done so far, you can find our posts here and a list of all the YouTube videos here. On to this week’s verse!

When I am afraid I put my trust in you.
Psalm 56:3 (ESV)

Devotional

Super short and sweet this week, so short Kaylin doubled up the verse in the song! Hopefully you won’t have any issues with memorizing it. Despite its lack of length, there is something quite profound about this verse, though hopefully it’s something you’ve been told before if you’re a Christian.

That is, when times are uncertain, when you’re afraid for your future, trust in God. He guarantees that he’ll get you through anything that comes your way and he’ll guide you through the storms. Do you do this? When you feel anxious or scared, what’s your first thought? Do you get down on your knees right away? I know that I’m terrible at this, though Kaylin has been getting a lot better at it and is dragging this old dog along a bit.

So, join me in showing the devil that nothing he throws at us will separate us from God, that we will trust in God no matter what!
