Last week, Kaylin wrote about how our family uses song to help us memorize scripture. Well, yesterday we added several more of those scripture songs onto YouTube. We now have every scripture song that we’ve memorized available for the world to listen to! As mentioned in last week’s article, we learn a new verse each week, and we’ll be bringing those verses to you on YouTube every Monday so you can learn them with us each week! We’ll also put a post here to let you all know when a new scripture song is available on YouTube.
You can find the full list of scripture songs available either via our YouTube playlist or by checking out our new Scripture Memory Songs page.
In case you want to try to catch up a wee bit, this week we were doing John 3:16-17. We decided that it might be a good idea to memorize a bit more than just John 3:16 because it helps emphasize verse 16 and it kinda makes for a cooler song if you ask me. 🙂
Also, last week we did Ephesians 2:8-9 and the week before it was 1 Thessalonians 5:15. I’m not going to go all the way back, but just in case you wanted to know, there it is!
We hope that these scripture memory songs will help you store God’s Word in your heart as much as they’ve helped us. Song is amazing for that because who’s ever heard of a spoken verse stuck in your head? Songs get stuck in your head all the time, though, so by default they are better at keeping God’s Word at the forefront of your mind, even if you’re not consciously thinking about it.
God bless!
